Jason Debus Heigl Foundation
The Los Angeles Animal Alliance was founded in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization through the support of the ASPCA. We are a coalition of shelters, rescue groups, schools, faith and community organizations working together to connect homeless animals to people and increase life saving across the Southland.
We aspire to provide the public with opportunities to adopt, volunteer and donate to help local shelters, rescue groups and homeless animals. Our lifesaving goals are attainable, and well worth the effort for the thousands of cats and dogs whose lives will be saved.
Our first accomplishments include:
-high volume life saving transports to leading adoption guarantee agencies across the country
-a series of humane community programs with schools and faith groups
-Trick-or-Treat for Homeless Pets, tot4hp.org
-The Fall 5000 Super Adoption, fall5000.org
-Pets to Patriots
-the Help Shelter Animals campaign, connecting the public with online opportunities to adopt, volunteer and donate for homeless animals through the FunnyorDie.com, Ihateballs campaign starring Katherine Heigl and the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation.
The Los Angeles Animal Alliance is aimed at increasing the resource and organizing capacity of shelters, rescuers and the Southland so that one day all healthy and adoptable local animals can be guaranteed loving homes. Our shelters and rescuers cannot do it alone, they need the community to get involved and do their part to help animals in need.
